So, winter is is in full force, snow and bitter and by bitter I mean below 10* temps. Thru it all, and thru many, many 50 lb bags of oil sunflower seeds the beautiful birds come and go thru out the day.
In pre-dawn the Cardinals arrive, they are also the last to leave in the waning daylight hours, this year I have counted 13 pairs of them, have Juncos, Tufted Titmice, Blue Jays, White throated Sparrows, a lone Rufous Towhee, Goldfinches, House Finches,
I have shovelled the snow (literally) to get to the feeders as they need refilled each day, keeping in mind I have 10 total feeders various capacities. Here then are a few pics
