So, I was minding my own  business, just floating around, when this little guy hopped on to the float with me....of course one does not float in the pool with their phone, so I was impatiently waiting til Mac came home to fetch me my phone for the pictures you see here.  I had rescued him once before and again after his ride on the float when he hopped off and then as you see peeked up and came on again!!  Where do they come from????

Summer is on the wane, there may be another month left, but all of the sudden the sun is lower in the sky, daylight is lessening, the night is full of the chorus' of katydids and crickets, flowers are all but gone....the hot July is taking its toll on all.  How sad it always is..I will soon be marking the calendar keeping watch when the male hummingbirds take off, today they are here....but how long will they be around?  They will fly south and leave the females and juveniles to follow on their own.  They arrived late this year as we had a cold spring and all too soon they will leave.

My Heavenly Blue Morning Glories are beginning to bloom, I have a heck of a time with them..come on...a common morning glory..wouldn't you think??  A purple one that I planted who knows when..threatens to take over the whole yard....unwanted that it is...I really need to grub it all out and
and keep planting "Blues.  If I had all the dollars I have spent on Heavenly Blue Morning Glories I would have a tidy little sum I tell you!!

Soon it will be time to plant those spring bulbs, take the summering plants in and save what I want to "carry over", order wood and get ready for ssshhhh....winter.
With fall will come election time, won't we all be ready for that?  Halloween, quick on its heels, Thanksgiving , Christmas....hustle and bustle......snowy January, frigid February brightening of March, the hope of April, sweet smell of May, busy June, sunny July, and so it goes.....

So, I got busy Thursday afternoon (before we dashed off to Mac's ongoing therapy) and made some wonderful little cookies that unfortunately did not last long, you would have thought we had never seen a cookie before!  Well, actually it has been eons since I have baked.  After all, we just had the hottest July on record so no oven baking for me.  Anyway, I saw the recipe from one of my Facebook Oily friends, had all the ingredients the time was right!!

Here ya go...here is a quick recipe for you to try and use your Lemon Essential Oil or I am sure Orange would be good and I am thinking Lime. (That is another bonus when you are using oils, you will have Lemon, Lime and Orange already in your stash!!)
Years ago I can remember purchasing some Key Lime cookies in a tin @ Pawley's Island.  Mac reminded me, yes it had to be years ago, 'cause we haven't been for years!!  Although we did go there last vacation, but lots of places were closed because of the excessive rain that they were having.

                       Lemon Cream Cheese Cookies

2 oz Cream cheese                  6 T butter, softened
1/4C plus 1T Powdered Sugar plus more for sifting over cookies
           3/4 C white sugar                   1 Egg
1/2 t Vanilla                             1/4 t salt, baking powder, baking soda
1 3/4 c flour                            15 drops Young Living Essential Oil
Heat oven to 350 degrees, cream butter, cream cheese and sugars together, til smooth.  Add Lemon, vanilla and eggs, mix again, add dry ingredients and mix well.  Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheet bake 10 min remove and dust with powdered sugar.   Enjoy!!

**I used 1/2 sugar and I only used 1 T powdered sugar...was fine with that.  I routinely cut sugar down when baking with no repercussions!!

Happy Birthday to me..lunch @ Spinoza's !
We shared a Pax Romano Salad (ha..did not document that!) and then dug in to Pizza...scrumptious.. my friend Cassandra introduced me to Spinoza's awhile ago and I must say it is one of my favorites!!  If you go on Fri evenings, they even have live music...a really nice atmosphere!  Mac and I were thinking it had been awhile since we had pizza...ha, ha..last Friday night we took a spin to Washington CH, Rose and Jayne and we ate at Scene 62...(I had pizza)!

Looking forward to my "party" tomorrow too...after swimming...weather cooperating..not likely...but afterwards...Mexican, carnitas yum!!

All ready for my Hobby Lobby Class...doing Back to School Essential Oil Rollers, easy to pack in purse, lunch box or desk, teachers, pupils and the rest of us...sampling some recipes that you may be needing as fall arrives and then winter rearing its ugly head....I love meeting new people and introducing them to the '"wonders" and magic of our oils!!

So, I received a Fitbit for Christmas, I am tracking my steps, sleep and heartrate.
Yesterday I found a YouTube Video which has you walking 1000 steps in 10 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3q5e1pV4pc&feature=youtu.be and it was not actually a "bad thing"! Much better than trying to walk outside when the wind is blowing those breezes @ 34 degrees!!!  So my goal is 1000 steps a day over and above the normal steps I take!

I have been on the" water wagon" for at least 9 months now, another benefit of my essential oil journey.  Completely off  Diet Coke.  I was one of those people who started in the am with it and went until bedtime, always a Diet Coke.  At first I thought, ok, but just when I have Pizza, who can eat Pizza without pop??  (I am not a Beer drinker)  I do not like tea and I do not like coffee, so what else is there???  Water!!!  Slowly but surely I do not even crave pop! ( Now if I could wean myself from Chocolate?!)  So I encourage you to try water, you know it is better for you!!

The Young Living Weight loss trio is Essential Oils in Lemon, Peppermint and Grapefruit.  Just drop a couple of drops each into your water, ice and go!  If you are sipping on your water all day, whenever you are ready for more water, add it with no oils, you can use the same glass at least 3 times before you have to replenish oil and then perhaps you just add lemon or peppermint, whatever flavor you like!  Be sure you are using glass or a metal glass, no plastic when you are using citrus flavors.  Will definitely not want disintegrated plastic in your water! ( Citrus Oils "eat" plastic)
