Gettin' shabby!!!

This is my niece's 30th Birthday card! I used a vintage piece I "found" at the last flea mkt trip. I snagged it up the minute I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for a card.

I used some Papertrey supplies, button, twine, Damask paper, Tiny Tag die and stamp, doily die. I had the flowers in my stash, Sewed Melissa Frances papers, colored the seambinding tape with reinker and Kaiser rhinestones in wine finished it up. I still have to finish the inside...will add that to this post. I love how it has turned out. She will be totally surprised, it is 180 degrees from what I usually do. I love the look and intend to get more "shabby"!!!

Our first snow of 2012

This is my Japanese anemones and coneflowers with a little snow on them....

I take this very same picture every year..,I just love how the snow is on the teeny seed petals, ha, what am I saying, the goldfinches already devoured the seeds , as soon as the petals fell...the flower remains.

A Bluejay on top the birdfeeder "waiting it's turn"(another joke)
if you know Bluejays!!

Here I have my prize pic of the day, a Tufted Titmouse. If you know these guys you know how "busy" they are, have to be patient and quick to get their pictures!!!

Let's Have A Party!

My youngest sister is a New Year's Eve baby, hence she is a "party doll"! This year we celebrated her birthday at VFW with friends and family. A friend's band just happened to be the entertainment for the evening. Jessica had the opportunity to sing Happy Birthday to her mother with the band. A good time was had by all!!

Today was football, all our teams lost...geez...Jayne and Jane even went to Cincy to see Bengals in all their glory...cold, windy but they had a good time...club seats yet!
